Office Hours: 9am - 3pm Monday to Friday
Training Centre Hours: 4pm - 8pm Tuesday to Friday and 9am - 4pm Saturday
DO YOU OFFER A FREE TRIAL CLASS?
Yes! Simply head to our classes tab to book a suitable day and time. All trial gymnasts will be evaluated on ability and a suitable class will be recommended following the class.
HOW BIG ARE YOUR CLASSES?
We maintain a student teacher ratio of 10 to 1 or less to facilitate individualised instruction.
WHAT DOES MY CHILD WEAR TO CLASS?
Recreation gymnasts may wear any type of tight clothing such as singlets, leotards, shorts or tights and hair must be secured off the face.
Competition gymnasts are required to wear the Shire Gymnastics training uniform consisting of a leotard and shorts. Hair must be secured off the face and preferably in a bun. For more information on our uniforms, please head to the uniform shop.
WHAT DOES MY CHILD BRING TO CLASS?
All gymnasts are required to bring a bottle of water to class. Apparatus will be provided for all beginner classes however gymnasts in Level 3 and above will be required to bring their own equipment.
DO YOU OFFER MAKE UP CLASSES?
Gymnasts in our Gym Fun and Level 1-2 classes are welcome to make up missed lessons due to illness, injury or family emergencies. Make ups need to be pre-arranged and taken within the current term.
ARE PARENTS PERMITTED TO WATCH CLASS?
All classes are closed training sessions however parents are welcome to watch the last 10 minutes of class. This is to ensure gymnasts remain focused for the duration of their lesson. We do however open classes for parent viewing in week 8 of each term.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO SPEAK TO STAFF?
We encourage communication and believe that a strong relationship between both coach and parent is key. Should you wish to discuss matters, please feel free to approach staff at the end of the lesson. Alternatively, use this time to make an appointment to discuss more important matters at length.
