Rhythmic Group Gymnastics

Rhythmic Group Gymnastics is a fabulous addition to our individual program, which specifically focuses on cooperation and teamwork. It involves a varied skill set quite different to individual gymnastics and our gymnast's benefit in many ways from friendship and respect for one another through to extending their individual skill set. Routines can be performed in pairs, trios or groups and the choreography focuses on collaborative movements, throws and lifts in an exciting and fun team setting. The gymnasts will have the opportunity to perform displays in the wider community as well as represent the club at a State and National level.

Rhythmic Performance Gymnastics

RPG is a relatively new sport to Australia and we're proud to be one of the first clubs in the country to offer this style of gymnastics to our community. RPG is a discipline of gymnastics based on stylised, natural and total body movement, which lends itself well to Rhythmic Gymnastics. Within this discipline gymnasts will learn versatile and varied body movements such as swings, waves, balances, pivots, jumps, leaps, dance and lifts. Physical qualities that compliment Rhythmic Gymnastics such as flexibility, strength, coordination and the ability to move to music effortlessly will also be enhanced. Like Groups, gymnasts in RPG will have the opportunity to perform displays in the wider community as well as represent the club at a State and National level.
